Apple Watch Swim Not Showing Up on Your iPhone?

If a pool swim logged on your Apple Watch doesn't appear automatically in the iPhone app, here's how to get it to sync — including how to import a missing swim manually.

Written by Kyle Ivey

When you finish and save a Pool Swim on your Apple Watch, it normally logs automatically and syncs to the MySwimPro iPhone app, where you’ll find it under the Profile tab. If a swim doesn’t show up automatically, the good news is your data isn’t lost – the video below shows the quickest fix, and the steps are written out underneath.

Re-Send a Swim From Your Watch to Your Phone (Shown in the Video)

If a swim didn’t sync automatically, you can push it across from your Apple Watch:

  1. On your Apple Watch, open MySwimPro (for example, from the MySwimPro widget/complication on your watch face).

  2. Scroll down and tap History.

  3. Under On This Watch, find the swim that wasn’t logged and tap it to open the summary.

  4. Tap the icon in the top-right corner to log it back to your phone.

  5. Open the MySwimPro app on your phone – the swim will pop up and appear in your History.

That’s the fastest fix. If the swim still doesn’t appear, work through the additional steps below.

Still Not Syncing? Try These Steps

1. Confirm the swim was saved on your watch

Make sure the swim was actually ended and saved (not just paused): spin the digital crown to turn off water lock, swipe to open the menu, tap End, then tap Save. You can confirm it’s there by opening History on your watch.

2. Give it a moment to sync

  • Keep your Apple Watch near your iPhone, with both devices connected and online (Wi-Fi or cellular).

  • Open the MySwimPro app on your iPhone and wait a few moments – syncing can take a minute after a swim.

  • Make sure both the iPhone and Apple Watch apps are updated to the latest version.

3. Check permissions and restart

  • Make sure Health permissions are fully enabled for MySwimPro.

  • Confirm Bluetooth is on and working.

  • Restart both your iPhone and Apple Watch, then reopen the app.

Import the Swim Manually From Your Phone

You can also import a missing swim directly in the iPhone app:

  1. Open the Profile section in the app.

  2. Tap Settings (top-right corner), then go to Devices & Integrations.

  3. Scroll down past Smartwatch and tap Import Swims.

  4. Locate the swim that wasn’t logged, tap the ellipsis (three dots) in the top right, and tap Log This Activity.

  5. The swim should now appear under History in the Profile tab.

If the swim was part of a Training Plan, open the plan, swipe left on the workout, and tap Mark Complete – this credits the plan without double-logging the swim.
